- We are seeking a Permanent Associate Veterinarian.
- Hours are 8:30am-6pm Monday-Friday with an extended lunch break.
- Saturday rotation is required approximately 1-2 times per month with a shortened workday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build rapport with clients by collecting information, listening to and empathizing with their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient discomfort and stress.
- Communicate with clients on topics such as diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary files are kept up to date through established protocols.
- Stay current on new medical information and changes within the field of veterinary medicine.
- Assist in the development of the interdisciplinary team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
- Present a positive and professional image of the hospital in both the professional community and to the general public.

**Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice Veterinary Medicine in Ontario.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
- Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, clients and the community.
