Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include patient care, medication administration, meal preparation, and providing emotional support. This position requires physical strength and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Experience in hospice care, dementia care, or nursing homes is highly desirable.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks as required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with clients
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
- Lives in Barrie or close to Barrie
- Speaks English
- OK WITH DOG

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 7 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- DCS / DEC (preferred)
