As a Route Sales Driver you will deliver, sell in, and merchandise fresh packaged bread products to retail stores, restaurants and institutions.

We are an independent distributor of Wonderbrands. Lines include Wonder, D'Italiano, Casa Mendosa and Country Harvest bread products.

This position is for someone who appreciates working independently for a small operation. It is a fast paced job with physical work, driving between accounts and selling in product. Sales, freshness of product and happy customers are the objective. Appreciation of working in early hours is an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a 24 ‘ 5 ton truck.
- Sell, deliver and merchandise Wonderbrand fresh bakery products within a defined route territory
- Fill store shelves and displays.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure product freshness.
- Follow an established delivery and service schedule.
- Operate a handheld invoicing computer system and be responsible for daily settlements.
- Service and communicate to customers in a professional and courteous manner.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in using handheld computer device for ordering and invoicing
- Able to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, kneeling, etc.)
- DZ Licence
- Proof of 3 years previous commercial insurance coverage from a valid insurer (Letter must be provided)
- Valid and clean driver’s license. (Driver’s abstract must be provided)
- Reliable transportation
- Retail/ Grocery experience
- Direct store delivery experience
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Effective organizational skills and must be able to handle multiple priorities
- Minimum Grade 12 education

Job Details:

- Full Time
- Availability early mornings (route starts at 1 am) Days off are Sundays and Wednesdays
- All days are not 8 hours as volume varies.
- Territory is in Hamilton/ Burlington area; depot is near Red Hill and QEW.

**Experience**:

- Retail Sales, preferably grocery required
- Driving 24 Foot Truck: 3 years required
- Route Sales: 2 years
- Customer Service: 2 years

Pay: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
