Summary

Forklift Operator is required to utilize industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory. Responsibilities include the loading and unloading of trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting control with inventory documentation and full adherence to safety compliance regulations.

Job Duties
- Operate forklifts loading and unloading parts, materials from pallets, skids, platforms, trucks and lifting devices.
- Staging parts and moving finished goods
- Accurately ship and receive product
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation
- Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
- Provide production data on tags or labels

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- (2) years’ experience as a forklift operator
- Forklift Safety Training
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Computer literate
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Work Conditions
- Day Shift (6:30am - 3:00pm) Afternoon shift (3:30pm-12:00am) Night Shift (11:00pm - 7:00am)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. Thomas, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
