**Summary**:
Potential Place Society in Calgary AB is seeking a Mental Health Generalist for its accredited psycho-social rehabilitation services for adults. Our model emphasizes creation of a therapeutic environment in which adults with mental health diagnoses can form relationships, engage in purposeful work-oriented activities, and participate fully in an inclusive and accepting environment. Wellness and social recreation activities as well as individualized supports complement our daily activities.

Central to this position is the engagement of our Clubhouse members in all aspects of Clubhouse operations. Generalists are assigned to a unit (Housing, Culinary, Clerical/Marketing, Employment) which carries with it specific responsibilities. Unit assignments change over time as Clubhouse needs change.

**Generalist Responsibilities**:

- Support and help to create a supportive therapeutic environment which promotes recovery and rehabilitation for our Clubhouse members
- Work side-by-side with Clubhouse members to support core Clubhouse operations
- Generate member engagement in the work-ordered day
- Assume a leadership role in ensuring positive outcomes in members’ lives including offering support in multiple areas of functioning and healthy living
- Help members to identify and use community resources that promote their well-being, independence, satisfaction, and self-sufficiency
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Compile statistics and complete data reports

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field. Graduate degree and/or professional registration is an asset.
- At least 2 years experience in supporting adults with serious mental health needs. Equivalencies will be considered.

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to attend a paid, two to three week long, out-of-province/country International Clubhouse training in the first two years of service
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Recent Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector

Pay: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
