As Vice President, Credit Risk Management you will direct and manage all customer relations, loan operation, administration and construction project management and monitoring oversight activities associated with the Infrastructure Ontario (IO) loan program. In this role you will develop, review, revise and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines, to ensure delivery of successful financing solutions for clients and projects within IO’s loan guidelines.

**What You Will Do**:

- Lead the client relationship team who act as the first point of contact for prospective and existing clients in respect to debt financing for eligible borrowers and projects.
- Manages and leads the development of appropriate lending controls. Manages the review and evaluation of loan applicants’ information, working internally with the credit and legal teams and externally with appropriate Government Ministries.
- Manages the negotiation process of the financing agreement between the client and IO Legal and Underwriting to bring the transaction to successful financial close.
- ** Develops, implements, and manages a business development strategy to increase business opportunities.**:

- Leads and manages a team of Account Managers whose mandate is to use a variety of customer relations activities to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including municipalities, municipal corporations, universities, and eligible non-profit organizations to cultivate these clients for future business opportunities.
- Develops and implements a customer strategy to generate new business opportunities for Infrastructure Ontario’s loan financing, AFP project delivery and other Infrastructure Ontario services applicable to loan program clients.
- Provides strategic advice and support to the Business Development and Lending team on customer relations initiatives and issues.
- Develops the annual customer relations plan to support the marketing plan and corporate objectives.
- ** Manages the project budget, construction and project management report review and oversight of projects financed by the loan program.**:

- Manages the project management due diligence for large/complex projects proposed to be financed by the Loan Program including project oversight/construction monitoring.
- Liaises and co-ordinates required reviews with Customer Relations and Underwriting to ensure timely and accurate information is provided in support of the underwriting process.
- Manages and approves the process to select and retain firms to conduct project monitoring services and oversees the management of these firms in the delivery of their services to IO.
- ** Leads and Manages all Loans with CMHC Insurance**:

- Manages the relationships and approvals in connection with the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)_,_ the borrower(s) and their consultants to ensure their expectations are met and funds flow on time.
- Responsible for overseeing the operation of the loan IT systems and resolving data quality issues as they arise.
- Manages the implementation of a new loan system including data conversion, integrations with third party software, customization and training.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Loan Operations team including planning and setting priorities, overseeing work progress, coaching staff, and resolving problems within their authority.
- ** Administers the existing loan and banking processes for the lending activities of IO**:

- Manages, administers and approves all loan advances and loan repayments and conversions from short-term to long-term loans.
- Manages the review and approval of all loan program financial transactions including construction draws, conversions and debentures in collaboration with Credit, Underwriting, Treasury and Legal.
- Reconciles bank account, trust accounts and property tax accounts monthly and quarterly with IO finance department.
- Manages the electronic funds transfers for all loan advances and repayments, as well as incoming loan payments (notification/escalation of missed payments).
