**Instrument Technician**

Sirius Controls is a progressive and rapidly growing company that is well positioned in the manufacturing industry. We are looking to add a self-motivated and capable member to join our Production team.

We have an immediate full-time opening for an Instrumentation Technician in our Edmonton facility.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Install process equipment and measurement instrumentation on new systems.
- Configure and calibrate 4-20mA sensors
- Bend and install tubing
- Perform hydrotest on equipment
- Perform mechanical work associated with system repair and modification; remove and install tubing
- Read manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and quality control specifications for assembly procedures.
- Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems (using pneumatic, electrical/electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments) to diagnose faults
- Repair and adjust system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); remove and replace defective parts
- Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
- Assembling electrical and mechanical components.
- Assemble and connect pumps, tubing, battery boxes, batteries, attaching hardware, switches, or other parts
- Route or connect wires between components, connectors and terminals.
- Inspect mechanical and electrical components and assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements, labeling and packaging.
- Complete all production and quality control documentation.
- Follow ISO 9000 standards, 5S and LEAN manufacturing Standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in work area and adhere to occupational health and safety standards

**Qualifications**:

- Strong work ethic, high degree of enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Experience in assembling components.
- Able to read, interpret and follow procedures for mechanical/electrical design drawings
- Computer skills: Proficient with MS Word, Excel.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and quickly assume new tasks as required.
- Able to work as part of a team or independently with mínimal supervision
