**About the Driver position**:
Currently, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse **Driver **to join our Warehouse team in Burnaby, BC.
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring materials are delivered to site safely and efficiently.
**Driver Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Bring a safety first attitude, obey all traffic laws and drive defensively while operating the vehicle
- Coordinate with Shipper / Receiver on deliveries
- Safely and effectively arrive on site as scheduled
- Plan each route based on best road and traffic conditions
- Load and unload parcels from the vehicle to prevent damage
- Rig and strap loads properly to minimize movement when driving
- Communicate with sites (Customers) and Shipper / Receiver any changes / opportunities to improve the daily delivery plan
- Organize regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle
- Train a backup driver for time off coverage, and days when two drivers are needed

**Experience and Skills**:

- Experience in a similar role where the primary responsibility is driving
- Class 5 Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
- Forklift License
- Ability to drive a cube truck
- Familiarity with the Lower Mainland region (roads, traffic, etc)
- Understanding of the electrical industry an asset
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate with all stakeholders
