Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Our mission is to foster the personal, social, and intellectual development of children in a supportive and stimulating setting. Our Summer Camp offers kids a chance to experience a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts to sports, storytelling, and outdoor exploration, all while creating lasting memories and friendships.

Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Summer Camp Leaders to join our team this summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their lives. As a camp leader, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that children have a fun, safe, and engaging experience throughout the camp program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise children in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, sports, and team-building exercises.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children, fostering a sense of belonging and safety.
- Provide guidance and support to children, helping them to develop social and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with fellow camp leaders to plan and implement daily activities.
- Ensure that all children are properly supervised at all times, maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow camp staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Respond to any emergencies or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Maintain a positive and fun attitude, encouraging children to try new activities and be their best selves.
- Participate in staff training and meetings before and during the camp program.

Qualifications:

- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Must be highly motivated, energetic, and fun-loving.
- A genuine love for working with children and the ability to create engaging experiences for them.
- Preferred: Background in Early Childhood Education or similar studies, or previous experience working with children in a camp, daycare, or educational setting.
- Must be willing to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or provide one if available).
- First Aid/CPR certification required. If not certified, applicants must be willing to take the course before the start of the camp.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and guide children in a fun and positive manner.
- Must be available to work the full camp duration from July 2nd to August 29th, 2025, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
