Freeway Truck Repair & Tire Shop Ltd. is a full-service heavy-duty truck and trailer repair facility located in Delta, BC. We specialize in complete mechanical, electrical, and fabrication services for major fleets and commercial operators across the Lower Mainland.
**Position Overview**:
The Truck Repair Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily shop operations to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is carried out **productively, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality and safety**. The role involves coordinating workflow, supporting technicians, maintaining productivity targets, and providing regular updates and reports to the Shop Manager.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck and trailer technicians, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor job progress, quality of work, and adherence to timelines and company standards.
- Assign work orders, manage priorities, and support technicians with technical or operational issues.
- Maintain communication with the Shop Manager regarding workload, staffing, equipment, and material needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with diagnostics, inspections, and repair planning as needed.
- Review completed work for accuracy, quality, and completeness before release.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellence, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum **2-3 years of experience in a truck repair or heavy-duty maintenance facility**.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related systems.
- Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of CVIP and OEM repair standards.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence (an asset).
