In recent years, the Paz team (now at over 40 people) has moved into the wholesale fuel supply business through the delivery of gas on demand, delivered by company owned gas trucks and personnel**.**

**The Retail Sales Associate/Cashier** **Opportunity**:Paz Fuels Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic & passionate, individual(s) who takes pride in providing top notch service, enjoys being part of a dynamic team, and has the desire and ability to self-manage. Within the role of **Retail Sales Associate/Cashier Attendant,**you must be friendly, hard-working, and be reliable.

**Cashier shifts currently vary between**:

- 3:00pm-11pm
- 7am-3:30pm

**The duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Greet customers entering the establishment
- Receive payment by cash, credit cards or automatic debits, issue receipts and change due to customers
- Provide courteous and efficient service throughout the customer’s in-store experience
- Answer customer questions, provide information and resolve customer complaints
- Maintain a clean and orderly setting
- Calculate total payment received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales
- Stock shelves, cases, bins and coolers neatly with merchandise and arrange displays to attract customers
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of products and services offered to promote all areas of the business and brands

**Successful applicants must meet the following criteria**:

- **Previous Gas Station Experience**: Prior work experience in a gas station or convenience store environment is required to ensure familiarity with operations and customer interactions.
- **Customer Service Skills**: A friendly, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills to engage with customers and provide excellent service.
- **Reliability and Punctuality**: Consistently dependable with a track record of showing up on time and adhering to scheduled shifts.
- **Basic Math and Cash Handling**: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for transactions and accurately handle cash, credit, and other payment methods.
- **Attention to Detail**: Careful and accurate when handling sales, checking IDs for age-restricted items, and maintaining store inventory records.
- **Multitasking Abilities**: Capable of managing multiple responsibilities such as assisting customers, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to think on your feet to resolve customer inquiries or issues efficiently.
- **Team Player**: Willingness to collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to maintain store standards and operations.
- **Work Ethic**: Demonstrates initiative and commitment to maintaining high standards in service and store cleanliness.
- **Flexibility**: Ability to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- **Basic Technical Skills**: Familiarity with using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling fuel pumps, and other relevant store equipment.
- **Physical Stamina**: Capability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that may involve some lifting or reaching.
