Fonthill Lumber has expanded their operation to include a retail based store at their location in Welland ON. This retail facility will serve the building and contractoring community in the Niagara Region and beyond.We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Store Clerk with construction and carpentry experience to join our team.

As a Store Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the store. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide them with assistance
- Answer customer inquiries and provide accurate information about products and promotions
- Process customer transactions using cash registers or other electronic devices
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging displays
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock is low
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations
- Follow all safety and security procedures to protect company assets

**Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly store environment
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash
- Ability to sell products by effectively communicating their features and benefits
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for assisting diverse customers
- Cash handling experience to accurately process payments and give change
- Upselling skills to recommend additional products or services to customers
- Familiarity with technology sales is an advantage
- Computer Skills an asset
- Possess a G Drivers Licence an asset

Pay: From $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 48 per week

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
