**Every day, you will support children in the community through the SNAP programs by**:
- Upholding the values and mission of MCRC and the SNAP program, contributing to a positive,
supportive environment for all clients.
- Delivering children’s mental health programs and services.
- Creating an atmosphere which builds upon individual learning styles, interests, and respects the
cultural, ethnic and diverse backgrounds of the children and their families.
- Working with the SNAP Family and Child Worker to conduct screening interviews and complete the
client intake process.
- Taking a proactive role in client engagement, from screening to case management.
- Providing diligent follow-up services and maintaining agency records.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of client-related and agency information.
- Liaising, consulting, and coordinating with required professional and community services to ensure
effective clinical treatment.
- Ensuring that client documentation is up to date.
- Participating in the development of training programs and materials for other professionals and
community groups.
- Participating in development planning, research activities, and ongoing evaluation of services.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and organizations on cases and special projects.
- Providing supervision to practicum students as capacity allows.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Early Years Child & Family Services
**As a SNAP Child Worker you will**:
- Provide children’s mental health services within the scope of practice appropriate to the role for
children aged 6 - 11 and families.
- Deliver work to individuals, groups, or families, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of
each client.
- Work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends and may change as the program and
community's needs change.
- An ECE, CYC, CYW diploma or degree or equivalent from an accredited institute.
- A minimum of 3 years professional experience working with children with behavioural challenges.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and video conferencing systems such as Zoom, Webex, and
Microsoft Teams.
- Standard First aid/CPR C from a WSIB approved training partner
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen dated within 6 months
- Dated Immunization records for MMR, DTP, Polio and 1 step TB test
