- Reporting to the Director of Energy Management, the Control Centre Operator is responsible for operating Building Automations Systems, troubleshooting HVAC calls remotely and providing guidance and advice to Property Managers, Security, Trades and others in multi-residential buildings to ensure comfort to all occupants. Our operations are 24/7 and require the Control Centre Operator to work shifts on a rotating basis.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include, but are not limited to the following:
- Monitor Building Automation Systems in client buildings from Control Center or Remotely.
- Operation of HVAC Systems and response to Critical Alarms.
- Data Entry, Running Reports, and Computer Maintenance.
- Support customers by providing telephone and computer assistance.
- Work will often be independent and without direct supervision outside of business hours.
- Any and all other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Secondary school diploma with post-secondary technical education/certification
- Building Environmental Systems Technician (BES) an asset
- Basic knowledge of HVAC System components such as Air Handlers, Boilers, Chillers, and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional problem solving, organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Excellent Customer Services skills.
- Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- This work involves a non-standard work week (shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required.
