We are looking to hire a **Gardener** to be responsible for the landscaping and lawn maintenance of the outdoor grounds surrounding our expansive facility mowing the lawns and maintaining the healthy growth of our trees and grass, and keeping the property uncluttered, clean, and well-manicured.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Perform regular lawn maintenance including mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the landscape.
- Operate snow plows to clear snow from roads and parking areas.
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks to ensure pedestrian safety.
- Operate light machinery, including a Bobcat (skid steer) and mini hoe and all related lawn care equipment.
- Removing trash, litter and debris from the ground to keep them tidy.
- Identify and controlling weeds, grass diseases and pests to protect the health and appearance of the grounds.
- Repair and renovate damaged areas on the ground such as uneven sodded surfaces and gardens.
- Duties will change due to seasonal work.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**
- Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent in related field.
- Valid driver license and clean driver abstract.
- A minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in a groundskeeping-related role including landscaping and gardening.
- Knowledge of fertilizing cycles for plants and shrubs including lawn care.
- Knowledge of soil cultivation.
- Knowledge of different types of trees, plants and shrubs including water plants, irrigation ponds and water-ways.
- Familiarity with the use and maintenance of lawn and landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to handle and use chain saws and operate a wood chipper.
- Sufficiently able-bodied to handle regular manual labour, including the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Knowledge of all pertinent rules and regulations regarding the use of certain pesticides and herbicides.
