Parcel Sorter

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Parcel Sorter to join our logistics team at Nextep Inc. The Parcel Sorter will be responsible for efficiently sorting and organizing incoming and outgoing parcels to ensure timely delivery and optimal workflow within our facility. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Parcel Sorting:

- Sort incoming and outgoing parcels by size, weight, destination, and priority.
- Use appropriate sorting equipment and tools to facilitate efficient parcel handling.

2. Inventory Management:

- Assist in maintaining accurate records of parcel inventory.
- Label parcels clearly and accurately for easy identification and tracking.

3. Quality Control:

- Inspect parcels for damages or discrepancies before sorting and shipping.
- Report any issues or concerns related to parcel integrity or labeling.

4. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely processing of parcels.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding parcel status and any potential delays.

5. Safety compliance:

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling parcels.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.

6. Additional Duties:

- Assist in loading and unloading parcels as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve operational processes.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
