**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support patients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Administer medications following prescribed instructions and document accordingly
- Prepare light meal
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to supervising staff
- Support patients with activities of daily living in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

**Skills**
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care is preferred
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care and working with people with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care and hospice procedures is advantageous
- Ability to perform caregiving duties such as medication administration and meal preparation accurately
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs
- Compassionate communication skills to provide empathetic support to residents and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to adapt to various shifts and care requirements
