**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Manager, Ramp Operations the Ramp Agent is responsible for the sorting, loading and unloading baggage, freight and equipment out of the aircraft, focusing on the Service Level agreement to ensure that customer service is met along with on-time performance.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Connect, and disconnect ground power from aircraft
- Sort, load and unload baggage, freight and equipment
- Marshall aircraft, drive and fuel equipment, service aircraft lavatories and potable water per company standards, ensure that airside areas are organized and clean
- Operate belt loaders, baggage tractors and carts
- Operate main deck cargo loader, dollies and large freight related equipment
- Wing walk arriving and departing aircrafts
- Perform physically demanding tasks effectively using the safest and most efficient methods possible
- Ensure that on-time performance policies and procedures are met and adhered to
- Ensure that customer service standards are met or exceeded
- Communicate effectively with other Ramp Agents, and the Ramp Supervisor to meet deadlines safely and efficiently
- Monitor customer safety at all times and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Adhere to and operate within safety policies, procedures and practices, attending and completing all safety training
- Provide courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage, and airfreight (continuous lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transfer of baggage and freight)
- Assist Flight Crew with off-loads at various aircraft destinations as assigned
- Assist with ramp set-up and storage of equipment and baggage
- Assist with aircraft grooming
- Perform additional duties as assigned
**Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications**
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must qualify for and obtain an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Must have either heavy equipment or main deck cargo loader experience
- Jet or larger aircraft experience considered an asset.
- 737 combi mod experience considered an asset.
- Previous warehouse and/or Ramp experience is considered an asset
- Previous aviation operation experience is considered an asset
- Forklift license or completed applicable training considered an asset
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset
**Working Conditions**
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by the role
- Work performed in multiple environments, contact with staff and the general public
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and telephones
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
- Various shifts and at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline
- In good general health and able to lift and bend, carrying loads of up to 70 lbs
- Safety equipment when and where required, e.g. hearing protection, safety vest, and applicable passes
- Work around jet and machinery noise
- Methods and procedures described or implied in the job profile may be altered to accommodate employees. _
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
