Bookkeeper

Hendry Warren LLP is looking to fill the position of Bookkeeper, who, under the direction of the bookkeeping manager, must be committed to providing friendly and timely service and consistently surpassing our client’s expectations. This is a hybrid position which will be partly in-office, partly remote.
**Duties of the Bookkeeper role may include**:
- Data entry;
- Bank and credit card reconciliation;
- T4 and T5 calculation and preparation;
- Payroll calculations and processing;
- WSIB and EHT processing;
- HST calculations and related CRA filings;
- Accounts payable processing;
- Sales invoice processing and accounts receivable;
- Preparation of internal financial statements and;
- Familiar with concepts of prepaids, amortization, deferred revenue.
**Qualifications**:
- Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and/or QuickBooksOnline accounting software;
- An understanding of Canadian payroll remittance calculations and remittance systems and HST calculation and filings;
- High level of integrity and work ethic;
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing;
- Demonstrated time-management skills;
- Ability to re/prioritize and manage conflicting demands;
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment;
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a diverse team;
- Ability to adapt to new technology/ software;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and;
- Knowledge of ADP and/or Ceridian payroll would be an asset.
