**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Senior Director (and indirectly the Senior Medical Director), Cancer Care Program, the Director, Oncology Clinical Standards & System Integration works in a co-leadership model with various Medical Directors contributing as part of the leader-ship team to the strategies and operational plans consistent with legislation, accountability frame-works, and the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the Cancer Care Program and NSH. Within their portfolio, the Director advances evidence informed clinical best practice through clinical standardization and adoption and use of technologies, like the Oncology Clinical Information System (OCIS). The Director fosters collaborative and interprofessional practice environments that optimize care provision through clinical standardization, meaningful use of technologies to support practice, health service leadership and collaborative learning for health professionals (regulated and non-regulated), as well as for other care providers and support services. They promote the development of an organizational culture that focuses on ongoing learning and effective, evidence-based practice to support clinical transformation and advancement of clinical standardization and learning to improve health outcomes through optimal use of healthcare providers, practice, process and technology. The Director contributes to the design and development of comprehensive strategies to support the effective, efficient and sustainable delivery of services and programs.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Master’s degree in health profession, health administration, or related field
- Current licensure with applicable regulated health profession
- College of Health Leaders certificate is an asset
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ progressive leadership positions in health care in addition to having clinically related oncology practice experience
- Experience in planning and delivering comprehensive clinical practice and learning programs within a complex, integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders
- Experience as a strategic leader within a complex organization, enabling change and leading transformational projects and providing strategic advice to senior management
- Expert knowledge to critically analyze evidence-based practices and clinical standards to inform strategy and optimize practice environments supported by technologies
- Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the practice of health professions
- Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization
- Experience in initiating, leading and managing organizational change, and complex work
- Excellent analytical, organizational and decision-making skills with ability to interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks. High level of competence in both written and verbal communication
- Experience working with diversity of staff and stakeholders, with knowledge of cultural competence, diversity and social inclusion. Sound knowledge of information systems
- Excellence in financial planning and human resource management
