Wireless Communications Installation Technician

Sniper communications is looking for someone with **UHF and VHF two way radio** knowledge and experience. We are looking for an _installation technician_ that is _capable of installing two way radios, cell signal boosters in vehicles_ & working on communications towers. We are a busy shop servicing the oil patch north of our community. We install SCADA radios and point to point internet links. We require someone that is willing to climb towers to install antennas & radios. We are a two way radio Motorola dealer so experience in radio sales, programming and repair is an asset. We install cell signal boosters in both vehicles and remote work site locations. We require someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in UHF/VHF two-way radio. Benefits package and bonus on billable hours is offered.

Duties will include:

- Programming, testing, troubleshooting, and installation of mobile equipment:

- Two-way radios - installation & programming
- Cellular boosters -installation in vehicles & buildings
- Two way repeaters, troubleshooting and installation
- GPS tracking systems - installation in vehicles
- Oilfield Scada radio configure and installation
- Competent with mobile communication test sets
- Firmware and software upgrades for wireless radios & routers
- Physically fit and willing to climb
- Valid drivers license
- Tickets such as TDG, WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Arrest and H2S an asset
- Proficient customer service skills
- Willing to cross training into wireless internet aspect of company
- Basic board level repairs are an asset
- Competency with cable types and RF connectors
- Daily paperwork includes invoicing, quotes, and service orders

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
