**About Camp Northway**:
Camp Northway is Canada’s oldest all-girls overnight summer camp, located in beautiful Algonquin Park. We offer a traditional wilderness camp experience focused on outdoor adventure, canoe tripping, and community connection. Our kitchen is the heart of camp life—nourishing campers and staff so they can thrive all summer long.

**The Role**:
We’re looking for a **Camp Cook** to join our small and hardworking kitchen team from **June 15 to August 28, 2025**. Working closely with our Head Chef, you’ll help prepare and serve nutritious, kid-friendly meals in a fast-paced, off-grid kitchen. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, clean, and efficient kitchen environment that supports the well-being of everyone at camp.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and serving all meals
- Help plan and use leftover food creatively and safely (e.g., for snacks)
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Keep kitchen, storage areas, and dining hall clean and organized
- Pitch in on kitchen dish duty as needed
- Monitor fridge and freezer temperatures daily
- Track inventory and help reduce food waste
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and communicate clearly with camp staff
- Adapt to changing needs, special diets, and camp logistics

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Minimum **1 year of kitchen or cooking experience** (camp or institutional settings a plus)
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and flexibility
- Ability to stay organized and calm during busy meal service
- **Food Handler Certification** required (or willing to obtain before arrival)
- Comfort living and working in a **remote, shared environment** for the summer
