**Dimensional Inspector - Peterborough, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)**

**About the Opportunity**
**The Dimensional Inspector **performs dimensional /visual inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies at our facility in Peterborough, Ontario. This position requires someone to be **onsite Monday to Thursday from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am.**
**What will you do?**
Your day to day:
- Perform dimensional/visual inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies
- Read and Interpret drawings
- Perform calibration on both company and employee owned tools
- Perform other duties as required.
**What will you bring?**
Who you are:
- High school diploma or GED, and post-secondary technical education
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar trade, including:
- Experience with standard metrology equipment (e.g. verniers, dial indicators, gauge blocks)
- Technical or manufacturing experience and knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes for shop fabrication (e.g. machining, welding, assembly)
- Knowledge of CMM use
- Computer literacy and proficiency in various software packages ( e.g. Microsoft word, Excel,)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to prepare objective reports and documentation
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
- Must be able to work with little supervision and fast-paces environment: must be self-directed
- Required to use PPE
- Available to work **onsite Monday to Thursday from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am**:
- Ability to pass Annual eye examination for, near distance visual acuity, colour differentiation
- Possession of valid Driver’s License
**Preferred Additional Qualifications**:
- CSA N299 series
- CSA N285.0, B51
- ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III, VIII
- ASME NQA-1
- Experience with CMM and FARO Arm equipment
- Experience and/or background in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Problem solving skills and a creative yet methodical approach
