**Summary**

AMIX is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator who will provide support to the Procurement Team by supporting with the procurement of goods and services for all departments as requested by team members. The position will work directly with the Purchasing Lead and Corporate Services Manager, and other members of the Procurement Team to ensure that the company is receiving the best price for goods and service. They will also be responsible for providing backup to the Purchasing Lead as required.

This position requires an individual who is able to interact with both internal customers and external vendors throughout the work day. In order to be effective, the Purchasing Coordinator must maintain positive, friendly, cooperative relationships with Employees and Managers as well as all outside vendors.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate activities involved the procurement of goods and services for approved projects, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for all Amix Operations as assigned
- Work with Purchasing lead and with each project manager’s requests and vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
- Provide backup and support to the Purchasing Lead and assists the Corporate Services Manager with procurement needs and administration
- Ensure the company’s documented purchasing policies and processes are adhered to
- Issue and manage purchase orders for approved requisitions and contracts
- Request quotes and negotiate prices with suppliers
- Partner with Accounts Payable with setup of new vendors, add job codes to invoices and resolve invoice issues as they pertain to purchasing
- Ensure accuracy of costs and accounting codes through strong attention to detail
- Process transactions in the ERP based on actual materials used (and signed-out)
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system (Sage 300).
- Generate and distribute cycle count sheets for satellite locations; update inventory values in ERP
- Expedite orders and communicate urgent requirements across departments
- Process purchase orders from min & max levels to replenish stock
- Coordinate and facilitate communication about urgent orders to ensure that parties from multiple departments are aware of their assigned tasks in the process of pushing urgent orders to completion (including receipt at offsite locations)
- Run purchasing reports
- Assist with evaluation of vendor performance and maintain approved vendor lists
- Maintain and uphold strong relationships with vendors.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- 2 to 3 years of purchasing experience
- Experience in the marine or construction industry an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
- Strong mechanical aptitude & technical skills
- Strong personal commitment to safety and the well-being of coworkers
- Experience with Sage 300 is an asset
- Experience with Maintenance Tracking Software and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
