Royal Vancouver Yacht Club is looking for a Full-Time Dock Hand Team Leader to join our team at our Jericho Marina. This position reports into the Harbour Master.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Harbour Master in overseeing work and ensuring completion of projects, cleaning and maintenance in the marina and monitoring the quality of work completed
- Assisting club members with day-to-day operations in the marina and building and maintaining strong relationships with members, guests, and staff.
- Coordinating guest moorage
- General cleaning and maintenance of the marina and work boats
- Assisting with light to medium construction projects
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting potential hazards to supervisor
- Responding to emergencies in accordance with the Emergency Response Plan
- Additional duties and projects as required

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years experience supervising or leading teams
- Positive, team player who is able to work independently and within a team environment
- Able to stand for long periods of time in all weather
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Friendly and able to build relationships with our members and staff
- Previous experience with boat operation, power tools, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry preferred
- Must be available on weekends and for holiday coverage if required

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

- Supervising: 2 years (preferred)
- Construction/maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
