**Job Description**:
**How You’ll Make an Impact**:

- By participating in and abiding by the Sodexo Safety program
- Promote a safe environment that supports student growth and development
- Ensuring a safe and clean work/living environment for both staff and students

**Specific Accountabilities**
- Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
- Ensure common areas are cleaned on a regular basis
- Maintain the exterior of the grounds around the residence free of garbage and potential hazards on a daily basis
- Perform light maintenance duties
- Participate in a complete cleaning of the residence tri-annually
- Provide cleaning to student rooms based on a student room cleaning schedule
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
- Applies all applicable provincial and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Remove snow from all entrances and keep walkways clear of ice
- Some weekend and evening hours will be expected
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or the Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor

**Qualifications**:
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**:

- A clear Vulnerable Sector’s Criminal Record Check
- 2 - 3 years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform light maintenance repairs
- Ability to speak in Mandarin or Hindi an asset, English is required
- Ability to be thorough, accurate, and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and without a high level of supervision and direction.
- Understanding of, and ability to demonstrate, the principles of confidentiality
- Proven Team Player
