**Overview**

The Production Operator - Encapsulation is responsible for all aspects of the encapsulation machine operations. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing all duties in compliance with Health Canada, FDA, OSHA, Province and local regulations in addition to company policies, including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

**Main Responsibilities**
- Support Senior Production Operator with operating and maintaining one Encapsulation Machine (and cover as many as two during breaks)
- Ensure quality production by adhering to the Batch Record instructions and support Senior Production Operator with making necessary adjustments as required
- Accurate and legible documentation of production parameters as per the Batch Record to verify the machine is running in a normal and safe manner
- Transfer product (capsules) from tumbler dryer machine to trays, move completed stacks of trays, then place completed stack into drying tunnel
- Support Senior Operator to disassemble, clean, reassemble machine components after completing each batch, and setup machine components (such as dies, wedges, hoses, tumbler baskets, etc.) for next production batch
- Maintain production required supplies
- Performing process controls
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Back up for this role is the Production Supervisor

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Biopharmaceutical production technology diploma is an asset
- Degree in a field related to Mechanics, Chemistry, or science is an asset
- Manufacturing experience in a GMP and/or a pharmaceutical environment is an asset
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for 12 hours
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Functional bilingualism (French and English)
