**Job Overview**:
Reporting to the Executive Chef, this person will support day-to-day operations in the Kitchen by washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware as well as maintaining, cleaning, and organizing all areas in the Kitchen.
**Specific duties would include, but are not limited to**:
- Assist kitchen operating by cleaning food preparation and production areas, operating dish machine, keeping dish room clean and organized, maintaining adequate levels of clean tableware and kitchenware.
- Opens and/or closes stewarding areas.
- Washes all dishware in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards.
- Maintains inventories using FIFO practices.
- Maintain the highest food quality for value by serving efficiently, professionally and courteously with mínimal wastage and spoilage.
**Job Qualifications**:
- Related post-secondary education and/or skills and experience
- Experience in a private club environment is an asset
- Awareness of health and safety
- Ability to speak English
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Pleasant personality appropriate for a hospitality environment
