Are you passionate about basketball and ready to be part of a growing organization shaping the basketball community in the GTA? 416 Basketball is seeking a **Tournament Convener** to ensure our tournaments run smoothly, maintain a professional atmosphere, and contribute to the organization’s long-term growth.

As a Tournament Convener, you will play a vital role both on-site at events and behind the scenes with our leadership team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Tournament Operations**: Oversee in-person tournament operations, ensuring games start on time, roles are filled, and schedules are followed.
- **Issue Resolution**: Act as the primary point of contact for coaches, referees, and spectators to resolve immediate issues or conflicts professionally and effectively while the tournament is taking place.
- **Team Coordination**: Ensure all event staff are in place and fulfilling their responsibilities during the tournament.
- **Strategic Planning**: Participate in remote leadership team meetings to help plan upcoming tournaments and provide feedback to improve processes.
- **Community Engagement**: Support the growth of 416 Basketball by fostering positive relationships with teams, coaches, referees, and parents.

**Requirements**:

- **Basketball Community Experience**: Familiarity with the Toronto/ GTA basketball scene, particularly rep basketball and school basketball programs.
- **Reliable Transportation**: Ability to travel across the GTA to attend tournaments.
- **Strong Communication Skills**: Excellent interpersonal skills for handling on-site situations with professionalism and clarity.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: A quick thinker who can adapt and resolve conflicts under pressure.
- **Organizational Skills**: Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee multiple moving parts at tournaments.
