**Associate Lawyer - Litigation - Creditors’ Rights Law**

Consolidated Legal Services LLP (CLS) is a boutique law firm specializing in creditors’ rights and collection litigation. Serving a diverse clientele including financial institutions, credit grantors, asset-based financial companies, and insurance providers nationally, CLS provides a collegial work environment and opportunities for collaboration with talented legal professionals. Our head office is located in Calgary, Alberta.

We are looking for an Associate Lawyer - Litigation who will contribute to the growth and success of the firm through entrepreneurial spirit and dedication.

**Responsibilities**:

- Represent clients in creditors’ rights litigation, with a focus on recovery of outstanding debt for financial institutions.
- Negotiate and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and provide accurate legal advice -Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials
- Prepare and present legal arguments and strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide guidance on complex legal matters
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices
- Utilize legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis for research purposes
- Provide guidance on legal drafting techniques to junior associates

**Experience**:

- 3 years Litigation experience
- 2 - 5 years proven experience as a practicing Lawyer in Creditors' Rights Law.,
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Excellent research and writing abilities
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and best practices

- Litigation: 3 years (required)
- Creditors' Rights Law and enforcement of Judgments: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certificate of Good Standing with the Law Society of Alberta (required)
