**About Booth University College**

**Program Overview**
Since May 2024, under the ASPIRE initiative, Booth University College launched new intensive academic programs. These are 20-month Associate of Arts and Associate of Business Administration programs. Students follow the design of 2-month terms and courses meet 2 times a week for 16 classes.
Currently, we are recruiting sessional faculty for the next two terms with the following details:
Dates for the terms: October 30, 2024 - December 23, 2024, OR January 6, 2025 - February 27, 2025
Days: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
Times: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm (with either a 30-min break or two short breaks)
Location: 123 Main Street (Union Station, 3rd floor, south side), Winnipeg, Manitoba
**Job description**
Sessional faculty members are expected to prepare the course andsyllabus in close collaboration with administration. Delivery of classes is two times a week (3-hour blocks). Instructors will prepare all types of assignments and report continuous and final grades in a timely manner and manage all other matters associated with the successful completion of the course. Specific instructions, guidelines, and due dates for the syllabus and related documents will be provided later. Due to the intensive nature of a course, continuous communication and exchange is required with administration. Faculty will have administrative and academic support as needed.
The program currently has sessional faculty positions open for the following courses:
- ENG100 University Writing
- ENG107 Representative Literary Works
- REL101 Introduction to Christianity Part I
- REL 102 Introduction to Christianity Part II
- REL270 World Religions
- BUS110 Introduction to Financial Accounting
- ECO110 Introduction to Microeconomics
- ECO120 Introduction to Macroeconomics
**Qualifications**:
**1. Required**
- Minimum of two years of practical experience in a related field
- Minimum one course teaching experience in same or related field
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Fully supportive of the integration of faith and learning in a Christian university-level setting and a commitment to the Mission of Booth University College
