**Position**: Children’s Program Coordinator
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
**Location**: Regina, SK

**About Us**
SOFIA House is a second
- and third-stage shelter that provides long-term housing and support to women and children escaping violence. We serve a diverse community, with a strong emphasis on Indigenous clients, and are committed to delivering programs that align with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action.

As a key member of our team, you will work with children residing at SOFIA House, offering preventative education and individualized support to help them heal and thrive.

**What You’ll Do**
As the Children’s Program Coordinator, you’ll:

- Build trusting relationships with children through trauma-informed and person-centered care.
- Facilitate individual and group programming to promote healing, learning, and resilience.
- Conduct needs assessments to develop personalized support plans.
- Provide referrals and advocacy to ensure access to resources like Jordan’s Principle, T.R.I.P., and Child & Youth Services.
- Document casework professionally and communicate effectively with families, staff, and external agencies.
- Plan and execute engaging events for holidays and birthdays, creating moments of joy for the children.
- Foster a safe and welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards.
- Offer occasional on-call support as part of a rotating staff schedule.
- Other duties as required

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience working with children and families affected by trauma or violence.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong knowledge and interest in Indigenous advocacy, understanding of colonial impacts, and familiarity with TRC mandates.
- A collaborative spirit, with the ability to build relationships across diverse communities.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicles for transportation services.
