Petland is looking for hard working individuals for the “Fish and Reptile Department Manager” position within our company. What the position involves:

- You have a nerd-like interest in swimmy and scaly creatures, along with great communication and mentoring skills. Working with the store management team, you’ll enjoy the responsibility of ensuring all of our aquatic and reptilian friends are cared for according to Petland’s high standards of animal care.
- You’ll love talking to guests and showing them everything they’ll need to care for their family pet, helping them to become educated about the four basic needs of every animal. You’ll thrive on building a successful team in your department, as well as the rest of the store. You’ll constantly grow with the ongoing opportunities for education in areas of animal care and good business practices.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize, good decision making skills, and great communication skills would be an asset for this fun, team oriented Management team support position.

If you promise to do something for a guest or
fellow team member, Petland expects you to

**4. Treat your team members the way you want to be treated.**
Treat other employees how you want them to

and as you may have heard, a team is only as
strong as the weakest link.
**5. Always use Petland tip sheets.**
Behavioral, Maintenance, Environmental and
Nutritional are the four categories that define
the basic needs of all living things. We have
included these four basic needs in our Petland
tip sheet series, which help our guests and pet
counsellors to educate themselves about
companion pets.
**6. Have Fun**
You have the advantage of working in a fun
industry. Take an active interest in pets both instore
and outside of work. Talk to guests and
co-workers about their pets.

**Salary**: From $12.95 per hour
