**Pharmasave Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge is hiring a part-time and full time pharmacy assistant.**

**We are a group of three busy community pharmacies attached to a medical clinics in Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge and a Care Connect authorized pharmacy.**

We are looking for a pharmacy assistant who is very comfortable with Kroll and has excellent customer service.*

**Our hours of operation are 9am-5pm on weekdays, and 9-2 on Saturday, closed on Sundays or holidays. This allows our team members to always be home for dinner and spend quality weekend time with friends and family.**

- Kroll pharmacy software
- Opportunity to practice to full scope (injections, minor ailments assessments and prescribing, medication reviews, chronic disease management, immunizations etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

- Review, compound and dispense prescriptions.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and medical professionals’ requests/issues.
- Provide specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, or high blood pressure.
- Perform or oversee the performance of packaging, labelling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging, and recording medications used in patient care..
- Demonstrate professional integrity and acting to uphold a high level of professional standard of practice.

Professional Responsibilities:

*Patient Focused Care
- Focus is on clinical services - minor ailment prescribing, injection services, practicing to full scope of practice
- Prescription safety prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Assistant when available
- Initiate care plans, follow up, and document
- Collect relevant patient, drug and disease information
- Identification of actual and potential drug related problems
- Monitor medication adherence
- Provide patient counselling for new therapy and determine patients understanding as to why they are taking the medication
- Tailor counselling to the needs and concerns of the patient

Customer Service
- Greet customers and patients promptly and professionally
- Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the patient and customer
- Provide superior customer service to every person that enters Pitt Meadows Pharmasave

Technical Skills
- Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience
- At least two (1) years of experience working in a community pharmacy
- Knowledge of the KROLL Pharmacy Computer system is an asset
