Beauty Technician

**Job Overview**:
Are you passionate about the beauty industry and eager to take the first step toward a career in **medical aesthetics**? The Beauty Initiative is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity designed to help individuals with a background or interest in beauty treatments build their skills and transition into the growing field of beauty and medical aesthetics.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals, including **nurses and nursing students**, or those skilled in beauty services (e.g., aestheticians, makeup artistry, lash and brow services, hair removal, permanent makeup, or laser treatments), to join our team. This apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience, training, and mentorship, with the potential to grow into a paid role within The Beauty Initiative.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Learn and assist in performing advanced medical aesthetic treatments under supervision, including injectables and other non-surgical procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and tailor services accordingly.
- Assist with retail sales by recommending products that enhance client results and align with treatments.
- Assist with **social media campaigns** by helping create content, capturing high-quality photos and videos, and sharing insights to grow our online presence.
- Collaborate on the **back-end operations of the business**, including organizing schedules, managing inventory, and supporting the implementation of new initiatives.
- Contribute to **business growth strategies** by brainstorming ideas for promotions, client engagement, and service enhancements.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and professional environment.

**Requirements**:

- A passion for the beauty industry and an interest in medical aesthetics.
- Current experience or skills in a beauty-related field (e.g., esthetics, makeup artistry, lash and brow services, waxing/threading, or laser treatments) is preferred but not required.
- **Nurses or nursing students** are strongly encouraged to apply, as this program provides a pathway into medical aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and services.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Retail or hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory.

**Job Types**: Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
