Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities, and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.
- Providing excellent customer service to members, including: instructing members on the use of equipment and ensuring members are adhering to the Weight Room’s code of conduct;
- Setting up and monitoring equipment and keeping the equipment and Weight Room clean; and,
- Providing administrative support with weight room operations.
- Performs related work as required.
The following current certifications are also required: BC Recreation & Parks Association Basic Fitness Leaders Certificate for Weight Training or equivalent; Standard First Aid Certification (or equivalent/higher certification); CPR Certificate and AED Certification.
Position Status:
Union (WVMEA) - Casual
Hours of Work:
Hours and days of work will vary and may include weekends, early mornings, and/or evenings. Shifts may be scheduled at the Gleneagles Community Centre and/or West Vancouver Community Centre.
Starting Rate of Pay:
$26.85 plus 14% in lieu of benefits.
- This position has a pay structure with five steps which increases based on the number of hours worked.
