Quality Control Manager

**SUMMARY**:
**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Team Leadership and Oversight:
- Lead, coach, and develop the quality control team, ensuring inspection activities are conducted effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate team schedules, workload assignments, and performance management processes.
Quality System Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems aligned with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve the effectiveness of quality procedures, tools, and documentation.
Inspection and Testing Oversight:
- Supervise inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify compliance with technical specifications.
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and correct use of testing tools and equipment.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze quality performance data, inspection results, and defect trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports to the Director of QA/QC and senior leadership.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to drive operational improvements and resolve quality issues.
- Support customer concerns and external audits with prompt and thorough follow-up.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain and enhance all quality-related documentation, including SOPs, inspection records, and corrective action logs.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

**PREFERRED/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or management role within quality control.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control standards, practices, and quality management systems.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong proficiency in inspection tools and techniques.
- Competence in Blue Beam, Microsoft Office 365, and Windows OS.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
