**Terms**: Permanent, Full-Time: 35 hours/week
**Shift**:Monday to Friday, shifts rotating between 8:00am - 5:00pm
**Rate**: $23.20 per hour for ECE License to practice (**Plus** $6 per hour Provincial Government’s Wage Enhancement) + **Benefits**

**Major Responsibilities**:
- Provide quality care and creative programming to children
- Build meaningful and positive relationships with children and families
- Work with your team to create a supportive and safe environment for both staff and families
- Deliver high quality and age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
- Provide active supervision at all times and work as a team to support transitions between play areas
- Use our parent communication app (Weemarkable) to provide daily communication and updates
- Keep a clean and safe environment - in all program areas and common spaces (with enhanced cleaning protocols for COVID-19)
- Follow all YMCA, Child Care Facility Licensing (CCFL) and legal requirements, including YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum standards
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- Basic **ECE** certification from a program recognized in British Columbia is **required**:
- Special Needs Educator (SNE) is an asset.
- Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) is an asset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Any training related to child growth and development is an asset
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required (can be obtained within 30 days after start date)
- 3 professional reference checks to be completed
