As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various distances. Your expertise behind the wheel and your commitment to adhering to regulations will be paramount in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Here are your key responsibilities:
**Vehicle Operation**: Safely operate and maneuver Class 1 commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, and other large vehicles, while adhering to road safety rules and regulations.

**Cargo Management**: Load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly distributed and protected throughout transit. Verify documentation and ensure accurate inventory management.

**Route Planning**: Plan optimal routes based on delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and weather considerations to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries.

**Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all transportation and safety regulations, including federal, state, and local laws. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, addressing any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

**Documentation**: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks, to ensure proper record-keeping and compliance.

**Customer Service**: Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional conduct, communication, and demeanor when interacting with clients, shippers, and receivers.

**Communication**: Maintain open and effective communication with dispatchers, fellow drivers, and other team members to provide status updates, address challenges, and ensure smooth operations.

**Emergency Response**: Handle unexpected situations, such as mechanical breakdowns or accidents, with calm and swift decision-making, ensuring the safety of yourself, the cargo, and others involved.

**Vehicle Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on the vehicle, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.

**Compliance with Regulations**: Stay current with industry regulations, including hours-of-service limits, weight restrictions, and hazardous materials handling, and consistently follow them.

Your dedication to safety, your expertise in driving, and your commitment to reliability will contribute significantly to our operations and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Your first few months of employment will include MELT training as well as work in our shop to get your familiar with equipment and tools for the job. Pay will start at $17/hr until you are ready to be on the road.

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
