C2d Sales Representative

The Customer 2 Dealer (C2D) Sales Rep will develop & grow our C2D portfolio in NS, NB, & PEI. This will include contacting prospective C2D sellers to offer ADESA's auction & remarketing services.
The C2D role will perform various administrative and operational functions including relationship management, implementation and development of customer service strategy and collaboration with colleagues across KAR Global.
This is a permanent, full time position based out of the ADESA Halifax office in Enfield, NS. Regular hours of work are 8:30am - 5pm Monday through Friday.
The specific duties and responsibilities will vary by auction, but may include the following:
- Aids in the growth and support of current customer base and acts as a liaison for public/local fleet consignment and auction personnel
- Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with customers; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
- Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales; explaining provisions; explaining and offering value added services; collects payment.
- Securing sales and qualifying buyers for purchase
- Establishing and maintaining a follow-up system with customers to encourage increased business referrals.
- Carefully reviewing sales data and statistics to plan more effectively for the future with the aim of boosting sales and enhancing brand image.
- Following leads from word of mouth or actively looking on websites for customer base
- Communicate with all departments to ensure proper marketing of sale inventory to maximize vehicle exposure
- Monitors all on ground public inventory and provide recommendations for reconditioning, logistics, and auction services.
- Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving customer complaints, providing service beyond expectations and helping to ensure smooth auction operations
- In depth understanding the needs of our individual customers and effectively offers value added advice and services
- Strong understanding of all aspects of ADESA with the ability to educate customers on the best ways to utilize our systems and services
Experience/Requirements:
- Understanding of methods for promoting and selling ancillary products and services.
- Prior experience in sales or in the automotive industry is an asset
- 2 Years of administrative & customer service experience preferred
- Possessing basic knowledge and understanding of vehicle pricing, depreciation, governing automobile guide, equity and values is an asset.
- As you may be required to drive as part of their duties, access to a reliable vehicle & valid drivers license required.
