**Job Summary**
The Youth Worker plays a vital role in supporting and empowering children and young adults, particularly those with disabilities. This position involves creating a safe and inclusive environment where youth can thrive, learn, and develop essential life skills. The Youth Worker will engage with participants through various activities, fostering personal growth and social interaction.

**Duties**
- Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the needs of youth, including those with disabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to children in both individual and group settings.
- Foster positive relationships with participants, encouraging their participation and self-expression.
- Monitor behavior and provide appropriate interventions to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to create comprehensive support plans for youth.
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program effectiveness.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to working with children.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong teaching skills, including the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with youth, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing situations and needs of the youth served. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals while fostering their growth and development.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
