**Copy Manager**, you’ll play a leading role in Brand Creative delivery in support of our Sales & Marketing Programs — in collaboration with the Art Director, Marketing.

**Why We Need You**:
As the Copy Manager, you will work directly with multiple stakeholders across the marketing department. Your main focus will be to lead the copy team and be a steward of the Article brand voice. You will also be working in collaboration with the Art Director, Marketing (Graphic Design) from concept through execution of incoming briefs.

Within the first few months, you’ll learn all about the Article Brand and how we work internally to bring it to life through our written and spoken words. Also, during this time you’ll be diving right into the work and making sure the copywriting team is supported and engaged in their work.

**About the Copywriting team**:
The team exists within the marketing department; you’ll manage two Copywriters (your direct reports) and report to the Associate Creative Director. We are a hybrid team - you'll be in the office 3 days per week
**(You must be located in Vancouver, Canada)**. The team right now is in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We’d like for you to be in these days as well but we understand life comes up.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Manage the copywriting team and their workflow of incoming briefs.
- Ensure that marketing and sales assets are presented in consistent and distinctive ways in alignment with our Brand Positioning
- Ensure that marketing and sales assets are presented following current and relevant trends in digital marketing and retail ecommerce industry best practices
- Contribute to Brand Guidelines (Program) development as needed
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of our Marketing & Sales business objectives and programs
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of marketing campaigns
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-brief delivery of consistent and distinctive high-performing assets in support of our Sales and Marketing Programs
- Ensure our brand voice shows up strong in everything we do and that our creative concepts are rooted in impactful and insightful messaging strategies
- Maintain a high-performance team of Copywriters by fostering a culture of trust, respect, inclusion, creativity and fun
- Facilitate strong collaboration between Copy team, Design team, and cross-functional partners

**Who You Are**:

- Preferably, you are coming from a Copy Manager role currently or have been in a Senior Copywriter role for 3-4 years
- Prior/current experience working directly with/in a marketing department, along with experience on multi-channel marketing campaign work of varying scales (including video advertising concepts and scripting)
- Prior experience with team professional development plans, setting expectations, performance management, reviews, and weekly check-ins is an asset
- Prior marketing agency experience is nice to have
- Experience working with a retail and/or lifestyle brand is preferable

The expected salary is $90,000 to $120,000. The actual base pay can increase beyond this range and will be based on various factors, including transferable skills, training and certifications, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
