Our telecom client, Bell Canada, is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst to work within the Customer Operations Business Intelligence team. The Business Analyst will be responsible to provide solutions for data residing primarily in our Teradata environment and, on occasions, SAS.

**Key Responsibilities and Job Duties**:

- Work with cross functional teams (e.g., Reporting, Marketing, Data Science, IT) to understand business needs and relate these to data requirements
- Review BRD/SRS to assess impact of project on existing data sources/structures as well as provide a work effort/cost assessment
- Convert business requirements and needs into more specific requirements technical teams and understand, design, develop and implement
- Work with cross functional teams (e.g., Reporting, Marketing, Data Science, IT) to understand business needs and relate these to data requirements
- Review BRD/SRS to assess impact of project on existing data sources/structures as well as provide a work effort/cost assessment
- Collaborate with development team to deliver long term flexible and expandable BI solutions
- Participate in the overall project life cycle (requirements-to-solution design)
- Support ad-hoc requests and investigations and suggest/implement solution
- Explore new sources of information to uncover new business opportunities
- Investigate data/process anomalies; propose and implement solutions
- Ensure the validity and integrity of data
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables, communicate proactively, and escalate when required
- Collaborate with team members to enhance expertise.

**Key Competencies and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other bachelor’s degree equivalent from a recognized educational institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role involving gathering and documenting business requirements (BRD, SRS, SDS) and data analysis.
- Understanding the basic principles of working with large and complex data sets
- Practical hands-on SQL experience in creating complex queries
- Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task with changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills required to work well with business users, other analysis teams, development teams, and IT teams
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure while delivering within given budget
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with mínimal guidance
- Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Experience with SAS, Teradata and/or Oracle, Hadoop, and IBM Campaign suite of tools
- Experience with BI and data warehouse technologies
- Experience in technology companies and/or telecom networks is a strong asset
- 3+ years SQL experience

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in North York, ON
