Student Counselor

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing their emotional and social needs.
- Develop and implement educational programs that promote personal growth and academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to create tailored support plans for students.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Educate students on coping strategies, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and any concerns that arise.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the overall improvement of the educational environment.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in a classroom or counseling setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of special education practices and the ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs.
- A degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field is highly desirable.
- A genuine commitment to educating and supporting children in their personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
