Under the direction of the Director of Residential Programs, the Manager supervises all CS&R staff and is responsible for design and implementation of all programs (including expected outcomes), based on community development theories. The incumbent is an integral member of the CS&R staff team, supporting the counselors with some of the broader requirements of residents, providing supervision and coaching in all program delivery and acting as Director in that incumbent’s absence.

**HOURS OF WORK**:This is a full-time Mon-Friday position 37.5 hours per week, some flexibility may be required to work some evenings and weekends on occasion.

**DIRECT REPORTS**:
Turning Points Program Lead

Youth Counselors Program Leads

Wellness Recovery Program Lead

Crisis Counselors

Any other dedicated programming staff

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- As a member of the management team, works closely with the Director of Residential Programs to initiate, design and implement new CS&R programs and provide oversight to existing programs;
- Supervision of CS&R staff and participation in human resource functions;
- Monitors revenue levels and financial position of the department;
- Promotes a consistent image and professional presence in the community;
- Implements processes to support exemplary customer service.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum Bachelor of Social Work, or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Minimum 2 years of Management experience;
- Experience in human resources an asset;
- Experience working in a shelter environment;
- Familiarity and commitment to women’s issues;
- Experience leading diverse and dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to facilitate consensus and manage conflict;
- Strong organizational skills and superior communication skills;
- Familiarity with a unionized work environment is beneficial.
