**Role Responsibilities**
- Acquire the necessary skills and technical training to become a competent journeyperson.
- Work with the maintenance team to learn and perform all required tasks in accordance with mill quality and electrical standards.
- Follow a range of mandatory work instructions (including the use of PPE where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

**Role Requirements**
- Must be an Indentured 1st year Electrical Apprentice.
- Successfully complete any required program entrance exams and Alberta-Pacific’s on-line behavioral assessment.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot.
- The ability to read and understand complex instructions.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors at physically demanding tasks that often require climbing and lifting or moving heavy items.
- The job may involve standing for long periods or working from heights.
- This position requires working with power tools and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge and skill in meeting deadlines with multiple duties and tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities, deadlines, and adapt to change.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (GDL removed) with an acceptable driving history.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
