Our fine dining restaurant at the **National Bank Open** is looking to add an experienced Host(ess) to the team.

**Event Description**:
The National Bank Open is a prestigious professional tennis tournament that takes place from **August 5th-13th**.

**Job Requirements**:

- SmartServe Certification
- Experience in luxury or fine-dining operations.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Can remain calm and courteous in times of high demand.
- Have strong time management skills, and able to make decisions regarding guest requests and table assignment quickly and efficiently
- Have a friendly and open attitude.
- Create a positive guest experience that begins with a proper greeting.
- Maintain an efficient and organized restaurant through managing guest flow, maximizing seating capacity and communicating with all employees.
- Assess challenging situations and make appropriate decisions on how to resolve them in a professional and timely manner
- Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to our Guests
- Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity.
- Communicate with Servers, Bartenders and Managers to maintain proper guest flow throughout the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly.
- Accurately take reservations and modify guest status when needed
- Ensure that the front entrance, host stand and surrounding areas are fully stocked and free from clutter and debris.
- Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section.
- Fill out detailed special request forms for birthdays, anniversaries, NBs, etc. and ensure that all co-workers are informed.
- Other duties as assigned or required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1 week

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)
