Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Product Management Lead is responsible for leading the development of market driven solution development strategies and for assessing and developing opportunities for new products, capabilities and business. The individual will provide leadership in product life-cycle strategy, market analysis, requirements management and pricing as well as be responsible for business case development for strategic business growth investments. The Lead will provide oversight and coordinate a team of 5-6 product managers across different business units, develop corporate product management processes and tools, and lead corporate initiatives that span multiple product lines. The individual will work closely with the Business Units, Research and Engineering to identify, develop and progress long-term strategic business growth initiatives.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Assess both short and long-term needs of the market and develop strategies for new business/products, digital solutions and cross-product platform initiatives, and drive internally and externally to deliver the market leading solution.
- Lead and execute thorough evaluations of business opportunities through analysis of potential business, inclusive of competitive analysis, financial analysis, market analysis, performance analysis, and strategic fit.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in developing and executing capture plans for various high-value business projects and strategic opportunities.
- Lead the development of initial and ongoing management of the product roadmaps to set a product vision and strategy that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, other teams, and adopt a data-driven approach to drive product requirements, roadmaps and value proposition
- Provide oversight to 5-6 product managers (dotted-line reports) to guide, coach, mentor, and implement best practices.
- Functional leadership for company product management - process, tools, metrics, training, strategy, roadmaps, business case.

**What You Should Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related fields
- 8-10+ years of product management experience.
- 5+ years experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions or IoT products
- Experience driving the full product development lifecycle, particularly experience in visioning and launching new products
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across technical and business teams
- Track record of product innovation achieved by putting customers first
- Experience in using customer insights and data to help inform decision making, and putting together business cases to support decisions and identify opportunities
- Thrive in ambiguity and able to create structure from ambiguity for others
- Excellent communicator
- Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance)

**Complimentary Experience**:

- MBA
- Previous experience as a senior product manager overseeing other product managers
- Experience in influencing multiple stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience in or working closely with product marketing
