**Temporary Capital Fund Analyst**:

What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting, the Capital Fund Analyst is responsible for:

- ensure that capital projects in the financial accounting system reflect the budget system, including setting capital accounts in the financial system following annual budget approval and as approved in-year;
- maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring compliance tangible capital assets (TCA) requirements, including but not limited to booking accounting entries, identified in the Town’s asset management system, related, TCA additions, disposals, and amortization in the financial accounting system;
- providing direction, guidance, advice and support to departments to ensure accounting entries comply with TCA policies, procedures; and legislation
- updating and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of the TCA procedures and processes within the Financial Accounting division;
- preparing schedules and analysis for Financial Information Return (FIR) for Town assets
- coordinating and monitoring the capital funds in the financial system, including expenditures;
- coordinating and monitoring the reserve and reserve funds for Capital project financing in the financial system,
- monitoring and recording transactions for long term debt, investment portfolios and interest earned, including interest allocations;
- preparing other financial reports for TCA and capital funds in compliance with PSAB
- coordinating, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of various provincial and federal capital grant programs and the monthly HST return; and,
- other related duties as assigned.
