community
As a Summer Museum Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exciting and educational
summer programming for children working alongside Museum staff to help design and lead
activities, oversee field trips, and create an inspiring experience for all participants. This is a fantastic
opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your leadership skills, and make a positive
impact in our community. You will also have an opportunity to work with the Museum’s collections
and learn more about the history of the Alberni Valley. Having previous experience working with
children and youth is an asset.
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in education, history, child
development, or a related field, and be returning to college or university in September
(required for grants)
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED certifications
The current rate of pay for this position is $21.39; this position also receives an additional 15% in
lieu of benefits. This position will work 35 hours per week and the expected term is June 3 - August
